Lana Spieler is a 21 year old artist currently based in Toronto, Ontario and originally from Barbados. She is currently studying at OCAD University for a BFA majoring in Drawing and Painting. Spieler is an abstract painter who is just starting her career as an artist and will be exhibiting for the first time in Toronto for the month of October at Jinks Art Factory. She has been an avid artist in Barbados and has participated in numerous multi-generational murals that have discussed environmental sustainability and coral reefs. Spieler has volunteered her time at organizations such as Art City, The Power Plant and Tea Base. She has received awards including The Pippa HARRIS 1978 Memorial Prize for Visual Arts from Branksome Hall in 2017.
